shashikantnishantsharma Posted by: shashikantnishantsharma in हिंदी कविता | Comments

shashikantnishantsharma Posted by: shashikantnishantsharma in हिंदी कविता | Comments

Lonely for You Only

shashikantnishantsharma Posted by: shashikantnishantsharma in English Poems | Comments

Thinking of you only
Walking on road so lonely
To many things to see
Nothing is there that makes me glee
Looking for you kept waking
With none but self, kept talking
Many things in view can't perceive
Thinking of you, how to achieve
Few moments of intimacy
Space for self and privacy
How can you forget me
You can't leave me alone like this
Standing shore and following sea
Life of sorrow and dream of bliss

Smoulders of Casteism in Bihar

shashikantnishantsharma Posted by: shashikantnishantsharma in Government | Politics | Comments

The acquittal of 23 people convicted by a lower court in the gruesome Bathani Tola massacre case is a shocking indication of the failure of the country's criminal justice system. The carnage of a group of 21 Dalits and Muslims, most of them women and children, by the notorious caste militia group took place in Bihar's Bhojpur district in 1996 in broad daylight. This is the case of not only justice delayed but also justice denied. The media coverage is so that very few come to know about such incideces. You will be shocked to know that there is a strong nexus between the administrative and the judiciary wing of the governance in Bihar. Bihar has the maximum number of cases pending in courts than any other states. The top ranking administratice and judicial posts are occupied by upper castes and it get reflected time and again. Caste system is a fact and it cannot be denied. The case can be seen as and outcome of casteism and its widespread presence in Bihar.
One could hadly imagine that such a decision will come when the popular and rational leader like CM Nitish Kumar is ruling with great support of people barring caste and communal lines. The governemnt should relook in the decision and justice must be done to keep people's faith in the good governance initiated and steered by Nitish Kumar after around five decades of misrule in Bihar.
Sri Laloo Prasad yadav's regime had tried to bring social equality and now the need of hour is for economic prosperity and justice which lies on the experienced shoulders of Sri Nitish Kumar, popular Chief Minister of Bihar. The smoulders of the castism should not ignite the wild fire of caste based naxalism.

The City of Heritages and Development

shashikantnishantsharma Posted by: shashikantnishantsharma in Stories | Articles | Opinions | Comments

Delhi is a living legendary city of India. It has been the capital of many kingdom from ancient Mahabharata Period to Modern era. It has evolved and adjusted to the varying needs of people of different times and stood a testimony to time. Every ruler added sometimes in the charms and beauty of Delhi. If you take time and visit Delhi you can see the remains of seven genre of Delhi. When I was in my home town or earlier at village I used to see the beauty and splendor of Delhi in books and on Doordarshan. But now when I am living in Delhi sometimes  while walking on the streets of Delhi I feel the unfolding pages of history and glimpses of Ancient, Medieval and Modern time coming in view occasionally and in some areas frequently when you visit such places like Chandni Chowk, the narrow lanes of Jama Masjid areas. The efforts of Archaeological Survey of India, Delhi Development Authority, Delhi Urban Arts Commission and Municipal Corporation are really commendable for their integrated efforts in preserving the rich cultural and architectural heritage and praiseworthy attempts to keep apace with the requirement of development and economic progress. There are many development projects going on in the city. Sometimes to make space for new development and accommodation of increased needs and requirements lead to necessity of redevelopment. And here comes the responsibility and rational decision making by the public authority. The various redevelopment and renewal programs should be guided by values that value addition should not lead to value reduction or neutralization of the rich cultural and architectural heritage of India present in Delhi.

Role of CAG in Meeting Challenges of Good Governance

shashikantnishantsharma Posted by: shashikantnishantsharma in Government | Politics | Comments

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India is almost one century and a half century old institution, which was formulated during the British rule to safeguard Government money. However, after independence, our leaders and policy makers redefined the role of the institution to meet the growing need of the independent nation and safeguard the interest of the general public as a whole in the democratic set up of India. The CAG has evolved its role as friends and representatives of the public and is constantly working for safeguarding the hard earned taxpayers’ money and ensure whether it is properly used; also, CAG has portrayed its independent nature by not getting influenced by the Government and Parliament/ Legislature. The domain of influence of CAG is wide and vast; it covers not only the Central Government, but also the State Governments, and it track the money from the Centre and the State capitals right down to its actual utilization at the Gram Panchayat and Block levels.

Is Reservation Necessary?

shashikantnishantsharma Posted by: shashikantnishantsharma in Government | Politics | Comments

Let’s discuss whether reservation is necessary or not in India. Here, by reservation we mean the system for allocating seats in government jobs, educational institutions and elected bodies through the legal provisions by the Supreme Court. Reservation has not a long history but it has drawn more criticism than our caste system. The reasons will be clear after you go through the article. I would rather say in favour of it than what my family and social bringing compel me to do.
